Abalone is an abstract strategy game for two players by Michel Lalet and Laurent Lévi in an Italian edition. On a hexagonal game board, two opponents compete in a direct duel. The objective is to push a total of six opponent marbles off the edge of the board through clever moves with your own marbles. Pushing requires tactical positioning and numerical superiority in the lines of marbles. A game round takes about 20 minutes and demands forward-looking planning completely without elements of chance.
